Biography

Grégoire Bellois is a senior policy advisor for the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development for the Economic Law and Policy Program.

Grégoire has over 15 years of experience in the natural resources sector. Most recently, he was a mining research analyst with the Responsible Mining Foundation in Nyon, Switzerland, where he was part of the development and review of the methodology of the Responsible Mining Index. He has extensive experience analyzing environmental, social, and governance impacts in the mining industry.

He was also a senior geologist for oil and gas and mining exploration projects in Central and West Africa and worked as a consultant to provide comprehensive technical advice for the extractives sector.

Grégoire has a master’s degree in geosciences from the University of Bordeaux in France. Grégoire speaks English and French fluently and is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
