Tessa Kelly is the Climate Change Coordinator of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

With over ten years of experience working in the international development and humanitarian sector, Tessa Kelly currently works on advancing the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ contribution to and position in the global climate change agenda.

Prior to this, she led the IFRC’s work on law and disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and community preparedness, providing technical and coordination support to colleagues in regional and country offices. Before joining headquarters in Geneva, Tessa Kelly coordinated the Disaster law Programme for the Asia Pacific region, managing a team and large annual budget, and working closely with National Societies and their governments.

Her prior country-level experiences in Viet Nam and Lao PDR involved working closely with local and national governments, as well as regional organizations, in the field of disaster risk management and climate change adaptation.
