To mark its Centenary, the International Labour Office (ILO), the first specialized agency of the United Nations, will open its doors to the public for the first time in 100 years, on Tuesday 15 October. A High-level panel on theme "How to reconcile full employment and decent work with sustainable development?" with ILO Director-General Guy Ryder and Geneva public figures will take place from 6.30pm. #ILO100

The international lead poisoning prevention week of action will take place from 20 to 26 October 2019. In 2017 lead exposure accounted for 1.06 million deaths and 24.4 million years lost to disability and death due to long-term health effects, with the highest burden in developing regions. #BanLeadPaint #ILPPW2019
The UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment is preparing a report for the Human Rights Council on good practices in implementing the right to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment. He needs your help to include in the report at least one good practice from each of the 150+ nations where this right enjoys some form of legal recognition at the national level.
