Saving the Planet at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting is the only yearly gathering that brings together leaders of global society. Around 3,000 participants from all over the world, and from every sphere of influence, including from international Geneva, will be convening in in the snow-bound Swiss town of Davos, from 21 to 24 January. The organizers make efforts to make the Annual Meeting more sustainable every year. #wef20

The risks our world will be facing in 2020, identified by the World Economic Forum in their new Global Risks Report 2020, launched last week, are dominated by environmental concerns.

“People are revolting against the economic ‘elites’ they believe have betrayed them, and our efforts to keep global warming limited to 1.5°C are falling dangerously short,” said Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman at the World Economic Forum.

Saving the planet is among the priorities of this year's edition. Various events will target environmental topics and involve actors from international Geneva. Download here our selection of events.
