Liliana Andonova is a Professor of Political Science and International Relations and the Academic Co-Director of the Center for International Environmental Studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Liliana Andonova is a Professor of Political Science and International Relations and the Academic Co-Director of the Center for International Environmental Studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Through her teaching and collaborative research, she has supported the professional advancement of many talented young women, who subsequently became leaders and advocates for the environment and sustainable development in academia, policy work and international relations.

Liliana was a Giorgio Ruffolo Fellow in Sustainability Science at Harvard University and a Senior Fernand Braudel Fellow at the European University Institute. Her research focuses on international institutions, transnational governance and environmental cooperation, charting new pathways to addressing complex issues in sustainability. In addition, she received the “Gender and Environment Advocate in Geneva” award in 2017.
