Rowan Palmer is a Research Specialist at the Resources and Markets Branch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Rowan Palmer is a Research Specialist at the Resources and Markets Branch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). He works primarily on inclusive green economy in Central Asia and Southeast Asia, and has also been involved in the Economy and Trade Branch’s South-South cooperation work on Multiple Pathways to Sustainable Development. Prior to joining UNEP, Rowan worked as an environmental manager for large-scale transportation infrastructure projects in his home province of British Columbia, Canada.

Rowan holds a bachelor’s degree in International Development and Environment Studies from McGill University in Montreal and a master’s degree in International Relations from Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
