Amitabha Sarkar is a Swiss Government Excellence Fellow at the Global Health Centre in the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva
His research interests are on the intersections of public health and sustainability to study the determinants of human, animal, and ecosystems health, and incorporate them in the planning, designing and implementing sciences of health systems to develop policy solutions as well as intervention designs to withstand ecological, social, political, and economic predicaments. He also works at the interface of global health governance and global economic governance to study the policy decisions influencing the pillars of global health systems (such as access to medicine, aid effectiveness, among others).
