Kay Williams is the Head of the Global Framework on Chemicals.
Kay Williams is currently Head of the Global Framework on Chemicals Unit within UNEP.
Kay Williams has over 20 years of experience in EU and international engagement. She was an international negotiator in the UK on chemicals and waste at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, responsible for UN multilateral environment agreements and frameworks, including the Basel, Stockholm, Rotterdam Conventions, the Minamata Convention and the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) in addition to activities at the OECD.
She was co-chair of the Beyond 2020 negotiations and contributed to the development of an ambitious outcome for the International Conference on Chemicals Management in Bonn at the end of September 2023.
