Marina was an Environment Affairs Intern within the Geneva Environment Network during 2022-2023

Marina has dedicated the last two years to developing strategies for local government institutions and implementing regional climate action plans for urban resilience, territorial development, and watershed management.

She has been involved in community life to highlight an emerging environmental ethic by creating new partnerships between academic and policy stakeholders. She took part in large-scale projects in India and volunteered for the construction of emergency shelters in Chile to find sustainable solutions to address immigration and climate change risk-related challenges. As a Scientific Assistant within EPFL, she coordinated a research mandate designed as a methodological tool for Greater Geneva that focused on socio-ecological infrastructure solutions. She facilitated a training workshop on water cycle and agricultural systems, enabling stakeholders to gain independence by integrating ecosystem services into their territorial decision-making processes.

She advocated for her beliefs within the Geneva Environment Network as an Environment Affairs Intern, responsible for coordinating delegations visits, managing various student briefings, and promoting positive interactions between universities and experts to discuss environmental policy frameworks.

Marina is originally from France and moved to Switzerland to complete her master’s degree in Architecture at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). She is currently undertaking a course on Water and Environmental Law and Policy at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education.
