Zero Race Arrival
The ZERO RACE was an 80-day around the world tour by a group of 100% electric cars running on renewable energies.
About this Event
In times of climate change and energy crisis, the Zero Race shows the world that readily available and reliable technological solutions exist to stop global warming, and it is possible to be independent from fossil fuels.
The three electric cars that started the race at the Palais des Nations on 16 August 2010, established a new world record for the fastest world circumnavigation in electric cars, and a major milestone in the history of electric vehicles. As mentionnned by Louis Palmer, the initiator of this race, Jules Verne’s dream of travelling around the world in 80 days has come true again – in a more ecologically sustainable way.
