The United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR) is the independent think-tank of the UN offering practical, innovative and tailored solutions to address current and future global challenges.

The Geneva office connects research, diplomacy and policy practice across International Geneva to support more adaptive and effective multilateral governance. It works with UN system partners and Geneva-based institutions to translate emerging risks and scientific insights into actionable policy approaches in diverse areas: science and technology, global governance, peacebuilding, human rights and economy.

Established in 2022, UNU-CPR Geneva focuses on strengthening global responses to geopolitical uncertainty, technological disruption and institutional strain through convening, strategic foresight, research and cross-sector collaboration.

UNU-CPR also serves as Research Lead for the Secretary-General’s Scientific Advisory Board.
