The International Labour Organization will hold its 111th annual Conference in Geneva from 5–16 June 2023. Worker, employer and government delegates from the ILO's 187 Member States will tackle a wide range of issues, including: a just transition towards sustainable and inclusive economies, quality apprenticeships, and labour protection.

About the 111th Session of the International Labour Conference

The International Labour Conference (ILC) is the supreme deliberative and decision-making body of the ILO.

The International Labour Organization will hold its 111th annual Conference in Geneva from 5–16 June 2023.  Worker, employer and government delegates from the ILO’s 187 Member States will tackle a wide range of issues, including: a just transition towards sustainable and inclusive economies, quality apprenticeships, and labour protection. Items on the agenda include: Standard-setting discussion on apprenticeshipRecurrent Discussion on Labour ProtectionGeneral Affairs CommitteeApplication of standards; and a General Discussion on a Just Transition.

Environment @ 111th ILC

Building on the Resolution on the inclusion of a safe and healthy working environment in the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work adopted at 110th ILC in 2022, the nexus between the environment, the working context and a just transition will be addressed within various sessions, including:

General Discussion Committee on a Just Transition | In the context of the General Discussion on a Just Transition, the Committee will meet from 5 to 14 June 2023 in Room XVII at the Palais des Nations. From 5 to 6 June, the Plenary of the Committee will hold a General discussion based on Report VI – Achieving a just transition towards environmentally sustainable economies and societies for all.  → Consult the presentation of the report. 

World of Work Summit: Social Justice for All | From 14 to 15 June 2023, the World of Work Summit high-level forum will meet Room XX at the Palais des Nations.  The 2-day Summit will highlight the key role of social justice in creating a more sustainable and equitable world and will discuss strategies for increased and better-aligned joint action to advance social justice and ensure policy coherence.
