About this Session

You are invited to a hybrid briefing organized by FAO to discuss the outcomes of COP27 and COP15 and the important role of the agrifood sector in achieving the closely interlinked global climate and biodiversity goals.

By bringing together climate and biodiversity, the discussion will explore the interconnectedness between the two and the impacts on food security, as well as the potential for agrifood systems to contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation and address biodiversity loss. In this context, the briefing will highlight FAO’s integrated approach to supporting countries, including financing for climate change and biodiversity, and how FAO can support countries in implementing the outcomes from COP27 and COP15. A detailed agenda will follow in the upcoming days.
