The session will highlight recent developments related to human rights and the environment.
About the Informal Briefing
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are organizing an informal briefing on our efforts under an OHCHR-UNEP MoU to advance the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. The session will highlight recent developments related to human rights and the environment.
Discussions are intended to
- Update on UN system efforts to advance the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment, and
- Better inform OHCHR and UNEP’s joint strategies and priorities on human rights and the environment.
This informal briefing has been extended to all Permanent Missions in Geneva.
