Nawal Aït-Hocine is the Managing Director of Transparence SA and a Board Member of Fondation Suisse Déminage (FSD) since 2018. In addition, she is an independent advisor on sustainability and compliance. Prior to these roles, she worked at Cartier as Corporate Reponsibility Director from 2010 to 2015.
In her early career, Nawal worked with Metalor Technologies SA, Reuters and SGS SA. She has also been actively involved in various industry organizations and working groups including the Responsible Jewellery Council, the Swiss Better Gold Association, the Sustainable Luxury Working Group, the REACH Legal Working Group, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Federation of Inspection Agencies (IFIA).
Nawal holds an Master in International Law and Business Economics and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. In addition, she received the “Inspirational Women in Geneva working for the Environment” award in 2016.
