Lesley Onyon is the Head of the Chemical Safety and Health Unit of the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Health at the World Health Organization.

Lesley Onyon is a toxicologist who has worked for over 25 years in fields relating to chemicals management, poisons information and occupational and environmental health at both governmental (UK and Australia) and intergovernmental levels (OECD, UNEP and WHO).

She has recently been appointed as Unit Head for Chemical, Safety and Health in the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Health, WHO Headquarters.

The WHO Department of Environment, Climate Change and Health houses WHOs teams on Air Pollution; Chemicals: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Workplace Health; Radiation; and Climate Change.
