Mitsuki Ishii was an Environment Affairs Intern at the Geneva Environment Network.

Mitsuki is currently in her second year of Master’s in International and Development Studies at the Geneva Graduate Institute, specializing in Environment and Sustainability.

With an educational background in political science and African studies from her Bachelor’s in Tokyo, Japan, she has a strong interest in the environmental impacts of the food system, as well as food and nutrition security. As part of her Master’s program, she conducted research on anticipatory action for socio-economic crises and food insecurity in Pakistan as a student researcher for the FAO.
