Quentin Merour was an Environment Affairs Intern at the Geneva Environment Network (July-October 2023).

Coming from Nantes (West of France), Quentin brings an interdisciplinary perspective to GEN. He studies in a double-bachelor named “environment and sustainable societies” delivered by SciencesPo Paris and Reims University, through which he tackles climate change and biodiversity issues from both a social and scientific point of view.

Passionate about those questions, he has experience in organizing environment-related events, and has already been tasked with developing the environmental strategy for significant projects such as Reims2028 candidacy for European Capital of Culture. He joins us after 4 months in Senegal, where he worked on wastewater valorization in dry environments.

At GEN, he will be working to ensure the smooth running of the organization through communication strategy and the organization of key events in Geneva. His goal is to continue taking action on environmental issues while also exploring the world of international organizations.
