The Global Resource Information Database - Geneva (GRID-Geneva), is a partnership between the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and the University of Geneva (UniGe).
GRID-Geneva’s scientists can process satellite imagery using remote sensing software, create models from geospatial data using Geographical Information Systems (GIS), generate interactive maps and graphs for automatic updates.

Gregory Giuliani is the Head of the Digital Earth Unit and Swiss Data Cube Project Leader at GRID-Geneva of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Geneva’s Institute for Environmental Sciences.
Hy Dao is the Head of the Metadata & Socio-Economics unit at the UN Environmental Programme's (UNEP) Global Resource Information Database Geneva (GRID-Geneva), as well as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Geneva.
