OHCHR SEM & UNOG Eco Palais Green Week 2026

The OHCHR Sustainable Environmental Management Group, in partnership with UNOG’s Eco-Palais Team, is launching Green Week 2026, taking place from Monday, 1 June to Friday, 5 June.

Throughout the week, colleagues at HQ and in the field are invited to take part in a range of activities, including environmental games, greening initiatives, a zero-waste lunch picnic, and a sustainable clothing exchange.

These activities aim to encourage engagement, learning, and practical action for a more sustainable workplace.

Everyone is warmly encouraged to participate.

Green Week Schedule:

Monday 1 June, 10am to 1pm, Climate Fresk

• What: an interactive workshop exploring the science behind climate change.  20 participants max. Available in French and in English.

• What: a coffee briefing on Sustainable Environmental Management at OHCHR

Tuesday 2 June, 12noon to 2pm, Zero-waste picnic lunch

Encouraging eco-habits through minimal waste and mindful consumption.

• What: Bring your lunch & learn about sustainable recipes!

Wednesday 3 June, 12noon to 13:30, Movie Screening: Duty of Care: The Climate Trials

Can the law change the future of our planet?

• What: Join us for a powerful documentary exploring the landmark climate cases that challenged governments and made history.

Thursday 4 June, 11:30am to 4:30pm, The Sustainable Closet

• What: A clothes exchange event where colleagues can donate or pick up pre-loved clothing to promote sustainable fashion!
