Charlotte Pavageau works as an advocacy and policy at Biovision Foundation.

Charlotte joined Biovision from ETH Zurich and the French International Centre of Research and Agronomy for Development (CIRAD) where she completed a PhD in Environmental Sciences. There, she worked with coffee farmers in India on coordinated management of agroforests. Prior to her PhD, Charlotte was based in Yaoundé, Cameroon where she implemented a project for the Center for International Forestry Research on the links between forest and climate change in the Congo Basin. Her work focused on informing climate change policy processes, complemented by participatory research on local solutions with forest-dependent communities in four African countries.

Charlotte holds an Executive Master in Natural Resources Management and Public Policy from the Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences (Agroparistech). She also holds a Master in Science and Technology from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France. At Biovision, Charlotte is a Programme Manager for the Policy and Advocacy Team. Charlotte is currently responsible for the project ‘Advocacy for Agroecology’ aimed at increasing the focus from research institutions and donors communities in agroecology.

Being born and raised by the sea, Charlotte enjoys sailing and has always been attracted by open sea and distant horizons.
