The ordinary and extraordinary meetings of the conferences of the Parties to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal, the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade and the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants are scheduled to be held, back-to-back, from 28 April to 10 May 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland.

A briefing on the organization of the 2013 ordinary and extraordinary meetings of the conferences of the Parties was held at thte International Environment House. A brief update on key issues to be discussed at the upcoming eighth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group of the Basel Convention, to be held from 25 to 28 September 2012 in Geneva and, the eighth meeting of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee of the Stockholm Convention, to be held from 15 to 19 October 2012 in Geneva (Conference Centre Varembé) , will also be provided.
