Ahead of the meetings of the main subsidiary bodies under the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions
A Chemicals and Waste briefing focusing on the preparations for the meetings of the main subsidiary bodies under the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions to be held in September in Geneva and Rome, and preparations for the Second Meeting of the Conference of the Parties of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, to be held in November in Geneva, to place at the International Environment House on 12 June 2018. This event also covered the latest developments on how to promote elimination of lead and was followed by an informal lunch discussion on lead paint.

Following the formal briefing all participants were invited to an informal lunch discussion with the above three speakers. The purpose of this discussion was to provide further information on the elimination of lead in paint and seek input from the participants on how to accelerate efforts on the elimination of lead in paint towards achieving the 2020 goal.
