The IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) will provide a clear view of the current state of scienti c knowledge relevant to climate change. It comprises three Working Group (WG) reports and a Synthesis Report (SYR).

The Full Report of the Working Group I (WGI) contribution to AR5 – Climate Change 2013: The Physical Science Basis was launched on 30 January 2014 at the International Environment House, during an event organized by the Geneva Environment Network Secretariat in cooperation with the IPCC Secretariat. It provides a comprehensive assessment of the physical science basis of climate change in 14 chapters, supported by a number of annexes and supplementary material.

Following questions and remarks from Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, Romania, UNEP, WWF, and other participants, speakers provided additional information on various topics, including the 2°C scenarios, the points of non consensus, plans to target policy-makers, ambitious messages to deliver to our leaders, work done on energy storage in the oceans and co2 storage, deadline of scenarios, regional maps and scenarios, links with IPBES, differences with previous report, how sceptic studies have been taken into consideration.
