14:00–15:30

Venue: International Environment House

Organization: Geneva Environment Network

The UNEP Foresight Process shall inform the UN system and the greater policy community about the global environmental issues that need most attention over the next years. The Process will influence UNEP’s programme of work as well as that of other UN agencies. Most importantly, the results of the Foresight Process will provide a significant input to the “Rio+20” UN Conference on Sustainable Development to take place in June 2012. The Expert Panel consists of 20 distinguished scientists from around the world, chaired by the UNEP Chief Scientist Professor Joseph Alcamo.

We had the pleasure to welcome in Geneva Joseph Alcamo on Thursday 15 December to brief the Geneva international community, including Missions on this process.
