SDG16: Peace, justice and strong institutions
Sustainable development cannot be achieved without peace, stability, human rights and effective governance, based on the rule of law, everywhere in the world. However, our world is increasingly regionally unequal. In some regions, peace and security are realities; while in other regions, conflict and violence are constant threats. Achieving this objective requires bold action to promote the rule of law, to reduce violence, to protect human rights, to combat organized crime, and to fight against corruption.
