SDG5: Gender equality
Putting an end to all discrimination against women and girls is essential if we aim at granting equal human rights to all and if we want to achieve a sustainable future. In fact, women are disproportionately affected by climate change and the disasters it creates; but they contribute hugely to sustainable economic development if they re empowered. Achieving this objective requires bold action to eliminate violence and discrimination in the forms of forced marriages, limited participation to decision-making, limited access to economic rights, and to promote the universal guarantee of reproductive rights.
