A Chemicals and Waste briefing focusing on the preparations for the third meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, which will take place in Geneva, from 25 to 29 November 2019, was organizend within the framework of the Geneva Environment Network, at the International Environment House, on Tuesday 10 September.
The event also provided an update on the preparations for the third meeting of the Intersessional Process (IP3) for Considering the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) and the sound management of chemicals and waste beyond 2020, and on the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions’ intersessional work, including upcoming subsidiary bodies’ meetings, and the launch of the new Plastic Waste Partnership.
