#Connect2Effect Global Hackathon
Do you have a moonshot innovation that addresses Sustainable Development Goal #12 – Responsible Consumption and Production?
Participate in the #Connect2Effect Global Hackathon and win a chance to pitch your idea at the UN Headquarters in NYC!
On March 10-12, for the first time ever, 5 continents, 9 cities, 1000 changemakers and the United Nations (UN) will connect, create and collaborate simultaneously during the 48-hour Global Hackathon focused on 3 Sustainable Development Goals. The best solutions and prototypes will win a possibility to be pitched at the UN headquarters in New York this June!
In Geneva we will focus on SDG #12 – Responsible Consumption and Production!
Are you ready to change the world in 48 hours?
We welcome entrepreneurs, creators, developers and everyone who is passionate about working collaboratively and thinking as a planet to fix the problems we all share.
During one weekend you will work in teams of 3 to 5 like-minded innovators to develop an idea around SDG#12 into a prototype. Each team will have an experienced mentor to inspire, help and guide them towards the end product.
At the end teams will pitch their solutions in front of the jury.
The best teams will get access to mentorship, a crowdfunding platform and resources to boost their ideas. The winners will get the chance to pitch their projects at the UN Headquarters in New York in June.

This event is organized by Influx Trust and G3ID
What is InfluxTrust?
For a few decades now, the United Nations and the people they represent have felt disconnected from each other. In 2012 Max Kalis, founder of Influx Trust, felt it was time to re-instate the UN’s identity as the middle man between the people and the government. It was then that Influx Trust, a community that supports better engagement between the UN and the public using innovative technology, was born. Since then, Influx Trust has actively been connecting people from all over the world with the United Nations, and the United Nations with the people they represent.
What is G3ID?
G3ID stands for Geneva Global Goals Innovation Day and is an annual one-day event taking place in Geneva. This year, on 24th of March key actors in the city will come together to promote innovation for the radical acceleration of the Global Goals. The event will be accompanied by a number of run-up activities to promote co-creation and collaboration.
