FILMAR's Festival celebrates its 18th Anniversary in Latin America!

In the middle of the largest lake in Colombia, in the big swamp of Santa Marta, as a symbol of their resistance, a fishing community unites to repair their only meeting place, the soccer field. While their poverty, their memories of the 2000 massacre and the floods affect them year after year; this field helps them bear with the adventures of a village submerged in a magic realism. Their feeling of belonging in this place where no firm land exists, nor fresh water, this is where they were born and where they want to live and die. Their population of one thousand has a narrow relationship between the swamp that surrounds them and the rhythm that frames their life. The second full-length film by the Uruguayan director, Emiliano Mazza De Luca, is a story of a village that, like in soccer, is lifted up over and over again.
